Camp Itinerary for 2009 Season
Session I June 22-26 (Full)
Session II July 6-10 (Space Available)
Session III July 20-24 (Full)

    Monday:
  • Meet camp leaders and counselors at 10:00 am at Indian Mary Park
  • Camp orientation, general information, guidelines and expectations, life jacket fitting
  • Head to the river! Let's get wet!
  • Team Paddle rafting and water fights
  • Late afternoon swimming, great food, campfire memories and music will close the first day


  • Tuesday:
  • Rise and shine to a "Good Morning" breakfast
  • Learn about river preparedness, water safety and wilderness survival
  • Look out! Class III rapids ahead!
  • Paddling, swimming and many water fights will consume the afternoon while we are rafting
  • Dinner around the campfire with memories, music and don't forget the s'mores


  • Wednesday:
  • Rocky Riffle Griddle Breakfast to the delight of all happy campers
  • Hiking, animal tracking and identification at the mouth of Jump of Joe Creek
  • Practice paddling skills through Majestic Old Growth and Whitehorse Rapids
  • Learn about reading the water, eddy lines, rooster tails and big waves
  • Visit the filming sites of "Wild West" movies along the Rogue River
  • Late night river stories around the campfire


  • Thursday:
  • Early morning hike and swim along infamous Grave Creek
  • Campers return for a hearty breakfast
  • Rafting, paddling, kayaking, swimming, and water fights
  • Float thru Hellgate Canyon and greet the challenge of Roster Tail
  • Campers learn to prepare Dutch Oven Dessert
  • Gold Rush Grub at the campfire and good times with camping friends


  • Friday:
  • Break Camp. Pack up Gear
  • Get a date with the gorge!
  • Paddle through exhilerating rapids, the long rapids of Almeda and the biggest whitewater of the week
  • Conquer the "Hole" in Argo in inflatable kayaks
  • Meet parents at Indian Mary Park, 3:00 pm
  • Say Goodbye to camp friends and savor memories to share with family and friends back home!
    Each day will include a bounty of delicious food at each meal. Snacks and plenty of cold drinks will be offered throughout each day, and of course s'mores around the campfire!
