Rafting and Camping Gear

Gear Needed for Rafting and Camping

Gear to Wear on the Rafting Trip
  • Swimsuit/Trunks
  • Shorts (quick drying)
  • Tennis shoes or water sandals (Chaco or Teva for example)
  • Lightweight shirt
  • Windbreaker type jacket
  • Hat
  • Sunglasses with strap
  • Chums or strap for prescription glasses
  • Sunscreen/lip protection
  • Camera
  • Change of dry clothes for after the trip if desired
  • Ziploc plastic bags work well for organizing small items in the dry box
If the weather looks cool or rainy pack lightweight rain gear jacket with a hood and pants, and baseball style hat. You may also wish to bring a wool hat if you are particularly sensitive to cool temperatures. Cotton is recommended for hot weather only. Layering clothing allows you to adjust quickly to the changes we may experience in the weather. July and August are particularly hot times of the year in the Rogue Valley, but mornings can feel cool along the river.

Gear to Bring for the Camp

In addition to the list above, overnight campers and specialty trip guest will want a few more items to complete the packing list.
  • Sleeping bag
  • Small camp pillow
  • Flashlight
  • Insect repellant
  • Towel/soap/tooth brush/tooth paste/sundries
  • Medications
  • Tennis shoes or lightweight boots for camp
  • Socks
  • Sweatpants and sweatshirt or polypropylene equivalent
  • T-shirt/underwear/change of shorts
  • Sweater or Jacket fleece or wool
We do travel light and space is limited. You will be given a dry bag for your use to store gear on the overnight trips.
